About Bablake Old Boys CC

Bablake Old Boys Cricket Club was formed in 1910 by former pupils of Bablake School but has been an open club for more than 40 years. The club maintains close links with the school and has recently co-funded a four lane outdoor artificial surface net facility. Further improvement to the facilities at our ground in Norman Place Road, Coventry have been added during the recent season with the addition of a scorebox and roll-on pitch covers, funded by a grant from the SITA Trust plc.

Bablake OBCC has two senior teams competing in the Premier Division of the Warwickshire Cricket League and two more teams competing in Division 6 of the Warwickshire Cricket League.

The Club also has two senior teams competing in the Warwickshire Sunday Cricket League, and also in the Coventry & District Midweek Cricket League. We are also hosts to the Coventry Community World Cup in conjunction with the Coventry District Cricket Board.

The Club has a thriving Junior Section with over 100 boys and girls from age 7 to 17 competing in appropriate age group leagues through the Warwickshire Cricket Board. We offer outdoor coaching at all ages throughout the summer and indoor coaching during the winter close season. We have a group of dedicated coaches who also offer coaching to 7 local primary and junior schools through the Chance to Shine scheme with the WCB.

The club has a child protection policy and gained ClubMark Re-Accreditation in 2008 and has since been awarded Focus Club status through the ECB.

Bablake OBCC is affiliated to the CDCB. WCB, MCCC, and the ECB. Bablake OBCC is a forward looking club with aims, aspirations and high hopes. Try looking at our Play-Cricket website for further news and information:
